Dog Board & Train Program in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

What is Dog Boarding and Training?

Our K-9 Bootcamp Programs are professional, customized boarding and training programs tailored to your dog’s and family’s needs. Hilton Butler provides a comfortable, engaging atmosphere with successful techniques backed by science-based research. Our dogs in training receive custom one-on-one time with Hilton Butler and his team. We implement short training sessions throughout the day integrating play with work. Each dog is brought into our home environment during their training to ensure that the lessons learned in boarding and training transfer back to your home. They learn to be well-mannered, social, and obedient.

How It Works

The Hilton Butler K-9 Bootcamp utilizes a smaller number of classmates to ensure your pup receives quality attention and training. We send you weekly updates with detailed information about your pup’s progress including monitoring their eating/stress/and weight.  We post pictures and videos of your dog throughout the weeks they are with us. Your dog will enjoy three sessions a day that include obedience training with Hilton Butler, obedience training with another member of our team, manners sessions, socialization session and free play. After your dog attends our dog boarding and training program, we will teach you everything we have shown your furry friend. It’s essential to remain consistent with your dog’s training to maximize the positive results. We will have follow-up training sessions at your home as well as unlimited Zoom lessons, phone and email support. We are always here to answer questions and address concerns before and after the program. At Hilton Butler’s K-9 Bootcamp, you and your dog become a part of our family.

Dog Boarding and Training Program FAQ

Our team is here to answer your most frequently asked questions about our dog boarding and training programs. Feel free to contact us with further questions.

Our “dog house” is a 1200 square foot heated and air conditioned building that we customized for our trainers.  It is located directly across the driveway from our personal home, and it is where we begin our training.  We offer a variety of crate styles to accommodate the different needs of our trainers.  Dogs typically sleep inside their crate for personal space. They’ll be treated like a family member in a realistic environment.

Your dog’s day is unique because each dog has a customized training program. Overall, dogs should expect three training sessions per day with plenty of time for socialization, rest, and play.

Our programs are 19-20 days – just shy of 3 weeks.  We begin our programs on a Monday and the dogs graduate on a Friday or Saturday almost 3 weeks later.  We do offer a Behavior Modification Program that is a minimum of 6 weeks for special cases such as severe aggression, anxiety, or fear.

Hilton Butler uses a balanced training philosophy that utilizes a combination of positive reinforcement and extinctive training that is based on extensive research.  Each day is a new challenge.  No two dogs are alike so working out the best training method and options that fit each situation is the better part of my job.

Yes! Our boarding and training programs are the perfect environment for manners training. Doggie Manners include but are not limited to stopping biting, nipping, jumping, running out open doors, whining, chewing, barking, and many other behaviors.

Almost every dog is suitable for a boarding and training program.  Unfortunately, not every facility is equipped to work with dogs with severe anxiety or aggression.  At Hilton Butler’s K-9 Bootcamp we specialize in those issues.

Yes. We ask that you make 2 trips to our location.  One is to drop your dog off and the other is for the graduation appointment when your dog has completed the boarding and training portion of our program.

We require one bag of food, our paperwork, and a copy of your dog’s current vaccine record. Keeping your dog’s diet consistent will minimize upset stomachs, so we require one bag of food for their stay. We provide dog bowls, leashes, toys, treats, and blankets however you are welcome to bring any other items you would like them to have during their stay.
